Annual Maintenance
What is the Annual Maintenance fee?
The Annual Maintenance fee is due each year on the anniversary of your initial system purchase date and renews your license to use DBA for another 12-month period. It also entitles you to any product updates that happen to be released during the renewal period.
How the amount is calculated
The annual fee amount is calculated at 15% of the total amount paid for all user licenses to date (initial system and additional users), regardless of the date any particular set of user licenses was purchased.
What happens if the fee is not paid?
Per the terms of our License Agreement, if you do not pay the Annual Maintenance fee, your license to use the product is automatically terminated. Your multi-user system will physically revert to a single-user system so that you have access to your data.
What are the benefits of the Annual Maintenance fee?
Both of us benefit by the annual fee. In your case, you never have to purchase new versions of the product and your ongoing cost of ownership is a modest amount that stays fixed for life. In our case, we benefit from steady revenue and an easier-to-support customer base that is always on the current version of the product.
